Early Morning Musings Part VII: Ringlets of You

you faded in
a brushfire
ringlets of you
swirled downward
like hot confetti
kissing the dirt
with memories
on your lips
I kicked aside
those ashes
licking
at the soles
of my shoes
they were the
color of the moon
and fell apart
too soon

  1. Well done … great pic that is fitting for the words.

  2. Your musings are better than most people’s completely worked out thoughts. I loved this.

    Nicole,
    “on your lips
    I kicked aside
    those ashes”.
    …Oh.
